Shashank consults with organizations to design and deploy software products that leverage AI, large-scale data systems, and program analysis. With over a decade of experience leading both engineering and business teams, he specializes in translating ambiguous problem spaces into clear product and technical strategies, and integrating AI capabilities into enterprise-grade software platforms. He has worked with Global 500 organizations including Amazon, Microsoft, JD.com, and Tencent to embed AI-driven products and workflows at scale.
Shashank has a Ph.D. in computer science from the department of electrical engineering and computer science at MIT. His PhD focused on topics at the intersection of machine learning, program analysis, and cognitive neuroscience. Prior to graduate school, he led a research group at a startup developing AI-driven tools for assessing a wide range of human skills.
He is also interested in governance. To understand the nuances of how state governments deliver benefits to people, he worked for a year in rural Bihar in India with Seva Setu, an organization which helped people avail government welfare services. He is also interested in, and actively contributes to, local civic administration.
